Chadistribution (now under Chadwick Publications) was formed around 8 years ago when I identified a demand for a reliable and reputable distribution company. This came about after being badly let down by various companies I had tried myself. I realised there was an opening in the market for delivering leaflet and mail shots for local businesses.
After two years of doing this, it occurred to me that perhaps here was an opportunity to start a local advertising directory that would allow companies to advertise to their target audience but at a fraction of the cost of doing a full leaflet drop. This would be an effective way for companies to reach local markets.
Shortly after, the Eskvalley View Directory was born. Initially we covered 13,000 houses then after a few years this went up to 18,000 houses incorporating more areas. We went on, increasing this to 23,000, and later to 25,000. Due to popular demand and the growth of the directory, we currently sit at 28,000 directories which covers the majority of the Midlothian area.
I pride myself on a quality publication and we really thrive to produce a book that is well received within the community, it has taken over 6 years to get where we are just now and we grow from strength to strength.
Due to feedback we've received from householders and businesses, we realised there was a requirement for a similar directory in the East Lothian area. As a result, we launched the East Lothian View Business Directory to meet that need.
The East Lothian View, currently on its third issue, reaches an amazing 17,000 homes already throughout Musselburgh, Wallyford, Tranent, Macmerry, Aberlady, Gullane, Longniddry and Pencaitland. Although we can’t cover every home in these areas yet, we are working towards this so please be patient with us until we can.
